ALMA Member Information—Lutheran Deaf Mission Society
More than 90% of the deaf, as many as 98%, do not know Jesus as their Savior. The Lutheran Deaf Mission Society (LDMS) seeks to help more deaf persons and their families: (1) see Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and (2) serve Jesus Christ as His redeemed people. We offer training, resources and expertise to districts and congregations to equip them to bring God’s word to the deaf. Through our ongoing relationship with Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and the Deaf Institute of Theology program, we support the education of deaf pastors and deaconesses. We also endeavor to assist partner churches around the world in bringing the deaf to Christ.
